A new treatment centre has opened in the Northwest, which will provide treatment and rehabilitation for local residents, and is a collaboration between the Northern First Nations Alliance and Red Road Recovery. The organization has received support from the provincial government in this endeavour as well.

The Terrace-based operation is a comprehensive 90-day residential recovery program.

The centre opening marks a significant milestone in Northwest BC, as the new lodge will provide culturally grounded, land-based treatment services to community members across the region and the province.

The project leans on regional collaboration, health innovation, and community leadership.

More aspects of the operation include new community outreach initiatives and aftercare supportive housing.

The opioid crisis and related unregulated drug overdoses have taken the lives of more than three hundred people in the Northwest in the past decade.
